Over the years, I've had the honor of working on some great brands with some amazing people. After studying fine arts in college, I started as a keyliner at a small but very good ad agency in St. Louis, TBWA/Kerlick/Switzer. I worked my way up to Art Director at DMB&B in St. Louis, spent a couple years freelancing after that, then landed at DDB Chicago, where I was promoted to Creative Director in 2004.
I started freelancing in February of 2013 and love experiencing new people, brands, and places-- Leo Burnett, DDB, VML/YR, WeberShandwick, Momentum, Burrell Communications, McGarryBowen, Pinnacle, HavasWW, VSA, Stern,
I've worked in just about every category (retail/fashion, packaged goods, quick service restaurants, health/beauty, pharma, banking, and insurance) on clients including State Farm, McDonald's, JCPenney, Pfizer/Nexium, P&G, United Healthcare, Morton Salt, Safeway, Finesse, Discover Card, Boatmen's Bank, Museum of Contemporary Art, Kraft, and even Winchester Ammunition.
Whether it's video, print, OOH, shopper marketing, experiential, social or digital, my main goal is connecting with the consumer in an emotional way--whether it be heartwarming, ironic or humorous-- that will help build the brand.
Awards include: Communication Arts, International Advertising Festival of New York, London International Advertising Awards, Print Casebooks 9-- The Best in Commercials, Addy's, Art Direction Magazine, and Webbys.
After hours, I've been doing photography in the last few years as another creative outlet-- mostly black and white film photography during my travels. Many of my photos have received recognition from the International Photography Awards (IPA'a).
